Experience from a new laboratory filter for measuring permeability and percolation of a loose filtration materials is described. It is possible to measure rate of flow across precoating layer of filtration material, even during coating. Beer filterability can be measured by filtration barrier and by constants of filter cake by the Raible method. New speed method uses precoating of the complex of beer, deposits and filtration materials to filtration barrier and subsequent measuring of filtration rate during water percoation througt it. This new method makes possible to analyze effects acting to filterability of beer and effect of technologic precaution for improving of bad filterability.
