The article debates the properties of the new types of packing materials in comparison with the classical glass bottles. Above all, the attention is focused on the barrier-forming properties of packing, so important in the brewing industry, on the properties decisiv for client°s approach and on the ecological aspects of the whole relevant questions. The key problem of plastic bottles for the next time to come is to solve completely the difficulties related with the recycling process.
